At Companion, we take safety seriously. It’s one of our company values. That’s why the Savaria Luma lift was built to meet all safety code standards in every market where it’s sold. The Luma has an array of safety features including:

  • Emergency stop and alarm buttons

  • Sensors to stop the lift in either direction, if it encounters any obstruction

  • Overspeed arrestor system, ensures the lift never travels to exceed the appropriate speed

  • Door interlock keeps the door locked when the lift is in use

Safety

  • Remote control. In addition to the built-in call button, two radio-frequency remote controls are included to allow you to call the lift remotely

An in-built LCD status display advises the status of the lift at all times, including whether there are any issues. This sophisticated system is another of our safety features and makes sure you always feel at ease in your Luma lift.

The illuminated push-to-run buttons are incredibly easy to use. The frame includes a built-in call button – but two handy remote controls are also provided so you can call the lift up or down anytime.

The hidden drive rope system in the Luma lift means the lift travels smoothly and there are no unsightly cables, meaning both safety and aesthetics are considered. The self-supporting rails mean the lift can be placed absolutely anywhere in the room – whether you want to make a feature of it or let it blend in with your existing décor.

Installation of the Luma lift is super simple. All that’s required is a simple floor cut out – no major structural work. The finish looks neat, tidy and sophisticated – our engineers finish everything off with pristine precision using everything include in our installation kit. Installation will take around 1-2 days, with minimal disruption to your home.

We don’t believe in safety being an optional extra, so the Luma homelift has a full height door as standard. Not to mention a door interlock that keeps the door locked when the lift is in use, so you always feel safe when you’re on the move.

An elegant system in the door and cab panels adds beauty and interior visibility for the cabin. Large backlit buttons are included making the Luma lift as accessible and stylish as it needs to be.

Aesthetically pleasing non-skid material is used on the cabin floor so you can be proud to show off your lift. Thanks to the built-in sloped entrance, there is no need for a ramp or pit so any trip hazards are eliminated.

    A Luma homelift is a lift in your home that allows you to move freely and safely between floors. The Luma homelift has a self-supporting structure that requires minimal structural work during installation, making the process as stress-free as possible. The Luma lift helps you travel between two floors without the stress of the stairs.
  • Is a Savaria Luma homelift suitable for wheelchair users?

  • How much space will a Savaria Luma home lift take up?

    You can tuck a Luma homelift into a corner or place it almost anywhere in your home thanks to its self-supporting structure and compact footprint. The Luma lift is designed to blend seamlessly into your existing décor and fit into your home flexibly.
  • How is the Luma lift powered?
    The Luma homelift is battery operated, meaning it’s always ready to go – even if you have a power cut. It plugs into standard household power and charges when not in use, for added peace of mind. On battery operation alone, it can travel up and down for as many as five trips.
  • Is the Luma noisy?
    The Luma lift is whisper-quiet, thanks to its built-in quiet drive system. Its soft start and stop technology means it offers a smooth and comfortable ride too. No jerky movements or noisy operation.
  • What safety features does the Luma lift have?
    The Luma homelift is packed full of safety features. From One Touch Alert two-way voice communication so you can call someone from the lift if needed, to an emergency stop button and sensor system that stops the lift should it meet any obstruction, the Luma also has large backlit buttons and a stylish non-skid floor. Entry is easy with a full-sized door and sloped low-level access, avoiding any trip hazards.
  • How long does it take to install a Luma lift?
    Installing a Luma lift generally takes between 1-2 days because minimal construction work is required. The self-supporting dual rail system means preparation generally requires a simple square floor cut-out and floor bracing. The entire process is simple, stress-free and efficient and there should be no need to redecorate after the lift is installed.
